Shorts and Sweaters

Sweater: Romwe ~ Top: J.Crew Factory ~ Shorts: J.Crew ~ Shoes: Converse
Watch: Fossil ~ Earrings: Romwe

It's officially fall! Temperatures are finally beginning to drop, which means I can start to pull out sweaters! I love this sweater because it is a light material, and perfect for layering in the fall. My class schedule is crazy long on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I always bring a sweater to cover up in cold lecture halls. Temperatures won't drop dramatically until November, but at least I can pull out my sweaters on days I know I'll be trapped all day in cold classrooms.

Rewarding Exhaustion

Top:  Who What Wear For Target ~ Pants: J.Crew ~ Shoes: Talbots ~ Earrings: Francesca's

Guess what...I'm a senior! Wow that is a crazy thing to say. While school has been wonderful so far, it has also been crazy. I'm working a lot, have a full course load, and still some how trying to be a twenty-two year old. It is a busy schedule, that's for sure, but I honestly wouldn't want it any other way. I enjoy working hard on projects and challenging my skills. I'm exhausted at the end of each day, but it's honestly rewarding. It's the kind of exhaustion that leaves proof of your hard work and commitment. I can remember playing outside all day as a kid, and when I finally stopped my exhaustion would wash over me. All the adventure and excitement of the day would come flooding back, and that was so gratifying My days look a little different now, but that same satisfaction still applies. I'm not exactly sure what will come of this semester, but I am excited for the adventures that await.

I bought this top this summer and it has been a fun piece to work into my professional wardrobe. In a world of pantsuits and pencil skirts, you need a ruffle every now and then. I like to add quirky patterns and cuts into my wardrobe to play up my basics, because life is too fun and colorful to dress boring! I've been slowly getting ready for my fall wardrobe and I've noticed I'm once again very drawn to 60's inspired styles. Get ready for a season of miniskirts and it October yet?
