DIY Fall Wreath

Wreaths are a simple and cute way to update the inside or outside of your house each season.  Unfortunately they can sometimes be very expensive or extremely time consuming to make.  Have no fear, I have found your solution!  This guy took me no more than thirty minutes and was actually really fun to make.

Supplies:
twig wreath
favorite additions
burlap
scissors

Directions:
All you do is simply cut your favorite flowers and stems and wiggle them in between the twigs.   After I place all of my flowers, I then cut a piece of wired burlap to hang it on the door...simple right?

The best part is you can change out the different flowers from season to season without having to buy a new wreath!  Little projects like this are really nice to do during a stressful semester.  It is nice to be able to stop and focus on something other than school or work.  It is always satisfying to be able to finish a project in the midst of all the craziness.  I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Middle Ground

Top:  T.J.Maxx ~ Leggings:  Brandy Melville ~ Necklace:  Kendra Scott ~ Necklace: Dazzle Boutique ~  Flats:  Target ~ Sunnies:  Old Navy

It’s that awesome time of year again.  Time for chilly afternoon walks, pumpkin everything, and plaid for days.  My style in the fall rests somewhere between looking homeless and a Ralph Lauren advertisement. I was about to leave for work the other day, and one of my roommates actually called me a horse girl.  This year I’m trying to find the balance between the two and find a unique middle ground.  I think this thermal grey tunic is a good start.  Basic enough for layering, it makes for a great fall piece.  It is easy to throw over a thick pair of leggings for class or even dress it up with dress pants and heels for work!

Life has been its usual craziness, but that doesn’t mean I will be skipping out on fall activities this year.  I’ve already managed to pick my own apples, get pumpkins for my porch, and make some fun fall decor (see next week for a tutorial!).  So many more fun things are ahead this season, and I can’t wait!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed week.

Alice Mae

August 23rd at 3:08 pm beautiful Alice Mae was welcomed into this world.  Not even three weeks on this Earth and she has already brought so much joy to it.  This shoot was a bit challenging since my model couldn't 'turn your head a little to the left' or 'look down and smile' like I usually tell them to do, but it sure was a joy.  There were times she would fulfill her duties as a newborn and fuss, but then she would give us a hint of a smile and everyone's heart melted.  This little girl has everyone wrapped around her tiny little finger, and that is fine by us.

Little Bird

A few weeks ago I had the honor of snapping a few photos for my dear friends Katie and Ryan.  I've been very interested in photography since I got this camera in December, and it is nice to have friends that will let me practice on them.  I mentioned back in April that this is Katie and Ryan's first baby.  They waited to know the gender of the baby so the nursery had to be fitting for either a boy or a girl...and isn't it adorable?  Katie is already such a beautiful woman, and the glow from her pregnancy has made her absolutely radiant.  It is always such a joy to be around these two.  This sweet little baby is the luckiest kid in the world..so loved and cared for...plus who doesn't want an awesome aunt Mollie?
