The Only Christmas Sugar Cookie Recipe You'll Ever Need

3 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2/3 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 - 2 tablespoon of milk

Mix dry ingredients together in a giant bowl then add sugar, vanilla, eggs, and margarine.  drop or spoon onto a greased cookie sheet or roll out and cut with your favorite holiday cookie cutters.  If the dough is very soft you may need to refrigerate for a couple of hours before rolling it out.

Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes.  Pull from the over, let them cool and decorate!

I have been making Christmas sugar cookies for years with my family, but this recipe is by far the most delicious I have ever had.  Mrs. Debbie Coats is a woman I have had the pleasure of working with at Talbots.  Let me just say, she ladies and gentleman, is a master in the kitchen!  She always makes these cookies for us during the holidays, and let me just tell you they are so melt in your mouth delicious you won't ever need another sugar cookie recipe again.  For my birthday this year she gave me this apron.  She read my post where I made homemade bread and decided that I deserved my very own christmas apron for a holiday post.  She then so graciously shared her famous Christmas sugar cookie recipe with me and for my readers.  So if you are a huge baker this time of year like me, give this recipe a try.  I hope all of you are enjoying this holiday season so far.  Don't let the stress that this time of year sometimes brings get you down.  Enjoy this time with your loved one's, hey maybe you could even throw a Christmas cookie decorating party!
