Gratitude

The word gratitude may seem like another word we pass around on Thanksgiving, but to me it has become the center of my life lately.  It is so easy for me to dwindle on stress and everything that is going wrong.  I need reminding every now and then that there are so many good things in my life, and so much to be thankful for.  I keep a piece of paper taped up next to my bed that reads, "list three good things that happened today".  As I lay my head down and begin to reflect on my day I stop and remember the wonderful things.  Today as I stop and reflect on my year so far, there are so many things I am so grateful for.

I am grateful for my family.  My mom and I always make pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving dinner, and I am so happy to be home from school so we could make them once again.  Although my brother couldn't make it home for Thanksgiving I am so thankful he has people he can spend today with in LA and Christmas isn't that far away!  I am so happy I have a father who is such a goof ball and always surprises me with his comforting and encouraging advice life.  My family is not perfect but they are so beautiful to me and I am thrilled to be spending today with them, along with my extended family in Memphis.
I am grateful for my sisters.  Chi Omega is one of the best decisions I've made in college and I love this sweet group of girls I have found.  From date party to chill nights in my apartment,  there is never a dull moment when we are together.  I am also so blessed to have gotten the greatest little a girl could imagine.  Sloan is always a joy and completes are sweet little fam.

I am grateful for Chattanooga.  Chattanooga was never a place I imagined myself living in, but it has offered me so many opportunities.  From my relationship with God to my leadership skills, UTC has offered so many opportunities to challenge myself.  I am so grateful that Chattanooga FINALLY built a J.Crew, allowing me to work at my dream retail job.  Cleveland is only a forty-five minute drive away from my family and I love being able to be closer with them.  My cousin is like a sister to me and I am counting the days down until she moves back in March!  Lastly I am so grateful for my church family.  No matter what stress or troubles I may have in my life I can always escape for a moment and recharge with my Hamilton Life family.  Every week in this city is an adventure.
am grateful for my readers.  One of the greatest feelings I get is when someone tells me how much they loved my post a certain week, or my favorite, that they creeped through my blog.  I become the happiest person in the world when people tell me this.  Blogging has become one of my favorite parts of my week, and when I hear that the readers love it, that warms my heart.  Thank you for reading every week and for all of the encouraging words.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day spending time with your loved ones!

xoxo
Mollie Anna
